Coronation Street's Sienna will be revealed to be hiding her mother's dementia, leaving Asha Alahan heartbroken. The secret comes to light after weeks of mysterious behaviour.
Sienna's Secret Unveiled
Sienna (Charlotte Tyree) made her debut last year as a work partner for paramedic trainee Asha (Tanisha Gorey). She has appeared sporadically since then. This week, Sienna took Asha on a first date, but after returning home, she received several phone calls and left abruptly, confusing Asha.
In Thursday's episode (July 30), Sienna apologised for her quick exit, blaming a trip to take her elderly aunt to Bingo. Nina (Mollie Gallagher) was suspicious and later found Asha in bed with Sienna. After Sienna left, Nina couldn't find her wage packet and suggested Sienna stole it. Later, Nina accused Sienna of theft, but Sienna denied it and labeled Nina a jealous ex before storming out.
Mother's Dementia Confirmed
Next week's spoilers confirm what Sienna is really hiding. In Monday's episode (August 3), Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) offers to help a woman named Sadie who is looking for her daughter, but Sadie snaps at her. Debbie recognises Sadie, and Sienna rushes over to her mum, but Sadie doesn't recognise her and lashes out. Sienna rejects Asha's help and gently leads her mum away.
Later, Asha and Sienna discuss Sadie's dementia and care options. Asha and Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) convince Sienna that a nursing home is in her mum's best interests. Asha later explains to Dev that they looked round a home, but Sadie freaked out when she realised what was happening.
Coronation Street airs Monday to Friday at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
