YouTube star Sharky heads to Australia for I'm A Celeb

YouTube star Sharky, real name Sharmarke Mohamud, is on his way to Australia as the new series of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! prepares to launch. The 30-year-old social media personality is set to appear on the show, joining former footballer Wayne Rooney, who is already en route to Australia as a campmate.

Sharky was seen at Heathrow Airport in London, dressed in a puffer jacket and tracksuit bottoms, ready to board his flight to the other side of the world to meet the I'm A Celeb class of 2026.

Beta Squad member joins the lineup

ITV is said to have been keen to sign the content creator, who is a member of the social media group Beta Squad, following last year's success with 24-year-old internet gamer AngryGinge, real name Morgan Burtwistle, who won the series.

Last year, Sharky's Beta Squad pal Niko Omilana, 28, took part in the BBC's The Celebrity Traitors, and the pair's other friend, 29-year-old King Kenny, real name Kenny Ojuederie, appeared on the same show, which wrapped last week.

Wayne Rooney's jungle glow up

Sharky is set to join a host of stars Down Under, including former footballer Wayne. The ex-Derby County boss showed off his 'jungle glow up' at Manchester Airport this morning, sporting black jeans and a jacket.

Wayne has impressed fans with his new look and was recently forced to deny he'd been using fat jabs. When asked to share the secret to his weight loss, he said on This Morning: "I feel great, I haven't drunk for a while. I just wanted to feel healthier and be healthier so I've changed my eating habits and training. Everyone's saying I'm on this pen thing. but I'm not, I've been working out to try and look better and be healthier."

Cast and schedule for 2026 series

The dad-of-four, who looks set to be the show's biggest ever signing, has been rumoured to be one of 12 new campmates for the 2026 edition of I'm A Celeb, which kicks off on Monday, November 16. He is set to be joined by stars including Chloe Burrows, Joanna Page, Ade Adepitan, Claire Sweeney, Ricky Wilson, AJ Odudu, Sharky, Leigh Francis, Mariella Frostrup, Leomie Anderson, and Jack Skipper.

The show is expected to run for approximately three weeks, wrapping up with a live final in early December.
