The fourth season of The White Lotus has begun filming on the French Riviera, with locations including Cannes, Saint-Tropez, and Monaco. Despite speculation about Tanzania, Mexico, or the French Alps, the Emmy-winning series has set its sights on the Côte d'Azur.
Unlike previous seasons, which were filmed at Four Seasons Resorts, season four will use two distinct hotels: the Airelles Château de la Messardière in Saint-Tropez, doubling as the White Lotus du Cap, and Hôtel Martinez in Cannes, serving as the White Lotus Cannes. Filming will also take place in Paris, though the story remains centred on the French Riviera.
The season's narrative will unfold during the Cannes Film Festival, exploring a new group of guests. Cast members include Helena Bonham Carter and Steve Coogan. The theme for season four has not been officially confirmed, but previous seasons explored money, sex, and spirituality.
Season one was set at the Four Seasons Resort Maui in Hawaii, season two at the San Domenico Palace in Taormina, Sicily, and season three used three Anantara resorts in Thailand. The show has historically boosted tourism to its filming locations.
