Where Channel 4's Patience Series 2 Was Filmed

Channel 4's detective drama Patience returns for a second series, having been hailed as the broadcaster's most successful drama of 2025. Set in York, the show follows Patience (Ella Maisy Purvis) in the police criminal records department of City of York Police. The new series features a murder mystery at York Minster, a homicide at the train museum, and a chase through a Hall of Mirrors.

Ella Maisy Purvis described filming at York Minster as surreal, saying the building added to the sense of awe. She noted the second series is more hands-on and action-packed. While much of the filming occurred in York, scenes were also shot in Belgium. Tom Lewis, who plays Patience's love interest Elliot Scott, praised Belgium's beauty and catering, but said filming in York felt special as he grew up in Leeds.

Newcomer Jessica Hynes joins the cast as DI Frankie Monroe. She enjoyed staying with a friend in York and appreciated Belgian people's blend of seriousness and silliness. The eight-episode series sees Patience navigating a new boss and a relationship with Elliot, while tackling crimes in extraordinary settings.
