Netflix's romantic teen drama My Life With the Walter Boys concluded its second series with a touching dedication to the late Todd Giroux, a producer who died in July 2025 at age 51. The final episode, titled 'Showdowns and Sparkles', ended with a title card reading: 'In memory of Todd Giroux'.
Giroux served as an associate producer on the show's first season and had an extensive career in television, working on programmes such as Animal Control, Murder in a Small Town, Warrior Nun, Van Helsing and The Order. He also contributed to editorial departments and held 59 production manager credits.
His obituary described him as a 'gifted post producer, supervisor, and producer' who founded his own business, Robot Post Media Services Inc. He earned 11 nominations and 11 wins across the industry, working on major productions for Netflix, Showcase, and Amazon.
The exact circumstances of his death remain unclear, but Canadian screenwriter Simon Barry paid tribute on Instagram, revealing that Giroux died 'suddenly and shockingly'. Barry wrote: 'He left a gaping void in the tv/film industry and my heart. I don't know anyone who was more respected and loved.'
My Life With the Walter Boys is available to stream on Netflix.
