Vogue Williams has revealed she “considered it” after spotting Joanna Lumley at the 2026 RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The Irish presenter opened up about the encounter during a recent episode of her podcast, Vogue & Amber, with her sister Amber Wilson.
Williams explained that she and her sister “stared hard” at the Absolutely Fabulous star but ultimately decided against approaching her. “We considered it. We did. And we stared her down as hard as we could, but I just don’t like interrupting people when they’re just trying to have a nice time,” she said.
The flower show, held on the banks of the River Thames, attracted a host of famous faces this year, including King Charles, Queen Camilla, Sir David Beckham, and Mary Berry. Williams was also left starstruck by Berry, describing her as “so slight and lovely and petite and just looked gorgeous.”
Amber suggested that Lumley might have welcomed a photo, but Williams admitted she felt uneasy about interrupting the actress. The sisters shared a laugh recalling an old episode of Absolutely Fabulous, which Amber called an “absolute banger.”
In other news, Williams, who is expecting her fourth child with husband Spencer Matthews, recently joked about borrowing her sister’s underwear during pregnancy and called Matthews a “sicko” for not wearing boxers.
