Vanessa Feltz has faced criticism over the new set of her self-titled chat show, which returned for a third relaunch on Channel 5. The daytime television veteran, 63, brought back the programme in the new year after it was shelved in October and took a hiatus in December.
The hour-long show airs between 2pm and 3pm, with viewers invited to call in and set the agenda. Feltz took to social media to encourage participation, writing, 'Set the agenda. I want to talk about what you want to talk about.' However, the revamped set featuring panelled walls and a neon sign has drawn scorn.
Viewers described the set as 'cheap and tacky' on social media. One joked it looked like something from Celebrity Big Brother's task room, while another compared it to a 'fake podcast studio'. A further comment questioned why she couldn't use the studio used by Jeremy Vine or Storm.
A Channel 5 source revealed that Feltz is aware 'a lot is riding on the next few months' and is committed to making the show a success. The insider added that the network has invested significant time and money, but the programme has not taken off as hoped. Despite the setback, Feltz has 'big plans for 2026'.
This is not the first time Feltz has clashed with critics. Last year, she hit back at a viewer who said they would rather scoop out their eyes than watch, offering to send them a spoon. Feltz left This Morning after 33 years to focus on her own show, though she expressed a desire to have done both.
