The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox makes its ITV debut tonight, Friday, July 17, with two back-to-back episodes airing from 9pm to 11pm. The eight-part true crime drama, originally released on Disney+, explores the wrongful conviction of American student Amanda Knox for the 2007 murder of her British roommate, Meredith Kercher, in Perugia, Italy.

Cast and Story
Grace Van Patten, known for Tell Me Lies, stars as Amanda Knox. She is joined by her real-life sister Anna Van Patten (Euphoria) as Amanda's younger sister Deanna. Other cast members include Sharon Horgan (Bad Sisters) as Amanda's mother Edda Mellas, Rhianne Barreto (The Outlaws), and John Hoogenakker (Jack Ryan).
The drama recounts how Knox, then a 20-year-old student, spent four years in an Italian prison after a 53-hour police interrogation led to a coerced false confession. She was eventually exonerated.
