A TV anchor's live on-air reaction to a car crash has gone viral after he nearly swore on camera. KJ Jacobs, the Traffic Anchor/Meteorologist at WCPO 9 in Cincinnati, was presenting his regular traffic segment when two cars collided right in front of him.
Live Crash Caught on Camera
Jacobs was pointing out that traffic was slowing down around a stopped car on the I-71 at Gilbert Ave. Moments later, another vehicle swung into the lane and crashed into the halted car. Turning back to the screen, he blurted out 'Oh sh..' before catching himself and clamping a hand over his mouth.
He apologized to viewers, saying: 'Oh I'm so sorry, literally just watched a crash happen in real time and I almost said something inappropriate.' He then explained what had happened for anyone who missed it.
Entertaining Segments Expected
Jacobs' bio page had already predicted his segments would be 'as informative as they are entertaining,' and this incident certainly fit that description. He posted the clip on Instagram with the caption: 'A natural reaction on LIVE TV, but I'm so glad I hit the brakes just in time!'
