Traitors winners break silence as three miss reunion

Romesh Ranganathan and Sebastian Croft have spoken about their Celebrity Traitors victory, revealing some of the thinking behind their decisions during the dramatic final, while three familiar faces were notably absent from the reunion show.

The comedian and actor were crowned the winners of the 2026 BBC series after making it to the final firepit as Faithfuls. The pair successfully identified the remaining Traitors and survived a series of tense banishments to claim victory.

A Dramatic Final

Friday's final saw several major twists, beginning with the murder of Michael Sheen before former Little Mix singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock was banished by the remaining contestants.

The drama continued when Romesh questioned whether James Blunt could still be a Traitor. Blunt insisted he was "entirely wrong", while King Kenny initially opted to end the game.

However, a tied vote between Kenny and Blunt forced another decision, with Romesh and Sebastian eventually voting to banish Kenny. The social media star had already made headlines after turning against fellow Traitor Maya Jama at the Round Table.

Victory and Reactions

James then chose to continue banishing rather than end the game, despite Romesh revealing that a conversation with Sebastian had changed his opinion of the singer. Both Faithfuls ultimately voted for James, leaving Romesh and Sebastian as the final two.

As they revealed their identities, Sebastian told Romesh: "I began this game as a faithful, but I'm ending this game as a faithful." Romesh replied: "Bash, I began this game as a faithful, and I'm ending this game as a faithful." The pair then celebrated their victory, embracing as they realised they had both made it to the end without being recruited. They left with £41,500 each for their charities.

Appearing on the post-show spin-off Uncloaked, Romesh revealed why he had voted for Leigh-Anne earlier in the final, despite knowing she was a Faithful. He joked that he had "hated" Little Mix for years, before explaining that his decision was actually strategic.

Romesh said Leigh-Anne had previously voted for him, and he wanted her out to improve his chances of reaching the final. Reflecting on the game, he added: "As much as this game is about finding Traitors, it's about finding Faithfuls too."

The comedian also admitted his happiness at winning was "tinged with embarrassment", as he felt he had not contributed as much to the competition as James Blunt.

Missing Faces and Insights

Sebastian, meanwhile, revealed that James Blunt's decision to continue banishing had surprised them both. Host Claudia Winkleman also suggested that Blunt had played an important role in securing the Faithfuls' victory by choosing to banish Kenny.

There were also three notable absences from the Uncloaked reunion, with Maya Jama, Michael Sheen and James Acaster missing from the final show.

Michael was unable to attend because of rehearsals, but sent a video message describing his experience as "incredible". Footage also showed his reaction to discovering the identities of the Traitors. He revealed that he had suspected Maya and Leigh-Anne, while believing James Blunt was a Faithful.

Maya was also absent, with Claudia reflecting on her time in the castle. Kenny discussed his decision to turn against his fellow Traitor, describing it as a "high risk high reward" move. He explained that he felt the final Round Table was his last opportunity to make a decisive move.

James Acaster was also missing from the reunion, despite being one of the series' biggest talking points following his extraordinary decision to reveal his own Traitor identity during the competition.
