Maya Jama and King Kenny have spoken publicly for the first time since fellow Traitor James Acaster revealed himself at the roundtable on Celebrity Traitors. The pair are now the last remaining Traitors in the competition after Acaster was banished following his confession.
James Acaster's confession
During Thursday night's penultimate episode, comedian James Acaster admitted he had been made a Traitor despite originally wanting to play as a Faithful. The confession came after Michael Sheen began questioning Acaster's movements during the murder of former EastEnders star Ross Kemp, noting that the comedian had been the only contestant to remain in the library.
Explaining his position to the group, Acaster said: "I just want to explain my situation, I was made a traitor without wanting to be, I've had a unique experience on this that no-one's had before, where I wanted to be a faithful and that's all I've wanted to be." He added: "I couldn't just go, 'guys it's me, vote for me, but that's all I can do really'."
Traitors and Faithfuls remain
Acaster received the most votes and was banished from the castle. His departure leaves Maya Jama and King Kenny as the last remaining Traitors, while James Blunt, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Michael Sheen, Romesh Ranganathan and Sebastian Croft continue as Faithfuls.
The extended final promises one last round of twists as the remaining celebrities attempt to work out who they can trust. With £64,500 already in the prize pot and up to £100,000 available for charity, the stakes have never been higher.
First reaction from Maya and Kenny
On Friday night, Maya and Kenny came face to face in the turret for the first time since James' confession. Kenny labelled it "absolute chaos", as Maya added: "How the mighty have fallen." She admitted she found that night difficult, especially as she noted how much heat is currently on her with Michael hoping to pin his suspicions onto her before the final firepit.
