Traitors star admits show made her doubt real life decisions

Former The Traitors contestant Ellie Buckley has revealed that appearing on the BBC show left her questioning her decisions in real life. In an exclusive interview with Daily Star, she spoke about how the series affected her after leaving the castle.

When asked whether the game affected her after she left, Ellie said: "I think what I learned about myself is that when someone speaks confidently, I listen to them and start to doubt my own opinion."

She added: "But it was a helpful experience to learn to not just trust confident voices because we definitely had some confident but wrong players in our game."

Partner's Perspective on the Experience

Her partner and fellow contestant Ross Garshong said the show strengthened their relationship. "I think it put your [Ellie's] trust in me quite a bit and my decision-making a little bit more," he said.

He also noted the lasting friendships from the show: "We're also friends with everybody in the group; we just went out for Jack's birthday, so I think it's got me a lot more relaxed in any pressured scenarios."

Life After the Castle

Ross, who works a 9 to 5 sales job, said colleagues often joke with him about the show. "Every now and again people will have a laugh and say to me: 'Are you Faithful or guilty?'"

He reflected on his gameplay: "Whilst I was given a bad hand, I like how I played my cards. So honestly, it's given me a bit more faith and swagger in how I hold myself."

Regrets and Round Tables

Ross admitted he wished he had targeted one player sooner. "I would have gone for Stephen Libby earlier," he said.

He explained: "Initially when I thought Stephen was a Traitor, I didn't vote for him on the earlier round tables because I thought he had nothing on him. I was trying to do the hide-in-the-herd scenario, but, actually, I saved nothing from not going for it!"

The former contestants spoke to Daily Star on behalf of Buzz Bingo.
