Stephen Fry and historian David Olusoga clashed behind the scenes during filming of the BBC's Celebrity Traitors, the Daily Mail can reveal. The 68-year-old actor and Olusoga, 55, engaged in a heated argument over who was a Traitor, leaving fellow contestants shocked.
A TV source said the dispute occurred during intense discussions, but producers decided not to include the scenes as they did not fit the narrative. Neither Fry nor Olusoga were Traitors, making the fallout ironic. A Traitors spokesperson denied any tension outside the game.
The show, which returned on Wednesday, saw singer Charlotte Church murdered by Traitors Alan Carr, Cat Burns and Jonathan Ross. The episode also featured the first-ever tiebreak, with David Olusoga and actor Mark Bonnar both facing banishment after receiving equal votes.
After the stalemate, actress Celia Imrie had the deciding vote, but the result was again tied, leaving the banishment to fate. The show continues on Thursday night.
