Traitors fans 'work out' 2026 winners after blunder

BBC viewers are convinced they have uncovered this year's Celebrity Traitors winners after an 'unbelievable' mistake aired on the gameshow. The popular competition is now in its final week, with the last episode set to air on BBC One this Friday, October 30.

It kicked off earlier this month with 21 famous faces vying to win £100,000 for a charity of their choice, but only a handful are still standing. Traitors Maya Jama, King Kenny and James Acaster are among the remaining cast members, and they have so far managed to dodge suspicion.

Traitors remain undetected

Love Island host Maya was chosen as a Traitor at the start of the series and she has somehow managed to completely remain undetected, even after her former allies Richard E. Grant and Professor Hannah Fry were unmasked. With the final just hours away, viewers at home think Maya and her Traitor recruits will win the 2026 series.

Fans became convinced after James, Maya and Kenny were all voted as the most trustworthy players during last Friday's (October 23) episode. Even Maya was stunned that the Faithfuls picked all of the Traitors as the most genuine contestants.

Speaking after the challenge, she said: "I had to hold in my laughter. Of all people, you saved us? I just thought 'Oh my gosh, have we completed this game already?' We are trusting, we are unsuspecting, and we are killing you all."

Fans react to the blunder

It seems this blunder was enough to make viewers believe that the Traitors have already won the game. Taking to social media, one fan commented: "its pretty clear this is going to be a 3 traitor win," while another described the mistake as "unbelievable".

Someone else posted: "I just honestly don't see a scenario where the faithful could possibly win this season," with a fourth agreeing: "After the latest episode, I don't see how the traitors don't win this tbh.."

Yet another person shared: "I got such second hand embarrassment, it'll be all of them in the final," while a final fan added: "I think all 3 traitors are winning this. No heat on any of them at any point. Very impressed with them."

Could the blunder backfire?

But other viewers think the Faithfuls' mistake could work in their favour. One Reddit user pointed out: "The three traitors being chosen as the most trustworthy players will come back to bite them when none of them get murdered overnight."

This could fuel doubt about at least one of the Traitors. But since three are still in the game, the Faithfuls would still need a completely new gameplan to unmask them all. The Celebrity Traitors can be streamed on BBC iPlayer.
