Traitors fans spot clue they think exposes next exit

Celebrity Traitors viewers believe they have worked out the next celebrity to leave the castle after spotting a subtle clue in the latest episode. The BBC programme ended on a cliff-hanger on October 22 as Traitors Maya Jama, King Kenny and James Acaster schemed their next murder.

The trio had already discreetly executed the murder of Ross Kemp in front of fellow Faithfuls. The castle subsequently said farewell to Jerry Hall, who was banished during the roundtable vote. But it was not long before the Traitors returned to the turret to orchestrate their next elimination.

Clue in the pen positioning

They identified Sebastian Croft, Romesh Ranganathan and Miranda Hart as their three possible targets, with certain cast members shielded by protection secured during a previous mission. While audiences will not discover who has been eliminated until tonight's episode on October 23, they have identified a subtle hint suggesting Miranda was removed from the programme.

Mere seconds before the latest episode faded to black, Kenny was observed writing the next murder victim's name. Enthusiasts believe the positioning of his pen on the paper indicates he was about to write the letter 'M,' meaning they chose Miranda over Sebastian or Romesh, reports Wales Online.

Fan reactions on social media

Posting on X, formerly Twitter, one observer put forward their hypothesis: "Call me crazy but Miranda has to be the one they murder tonight due to Kenny's positioning with the pen + paper." The viewer proceeded to outline how Kenny's pen appeared positioned too far down the page to be forming either the letters 'R' or 'B' but seemed aligned with writing the initial stroke of the letter 'M'.

While it might appear unlikely, numerous fans noticed the identical detail. One TikTok user posted: "I said the exact same! i seen where he placed the pen and knew straight away too." Another viewer concurred: "I thought the exact same thing, I just hope we're wrong," while a fourth remarked: "that's what I spotted too, don't want her to go."

Sceptics push back

However, other audiences have rejected the hypothesis, with many contending that individuals possess varying handwriting styles. "I start all of them [letters M, B and R] from the bottom and go up," noted one.

The Celebrity Traitors continues tonight (October 23) at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
