Celebrity Traitors Fans Demand Fewer Comedians in Potential Series Three
Traitors Fans Demand Fewer Comedians for Series Three

Fans of The Celebrity Traitors are already calling for changes to the line-up if the BBC series returns for a third series, with many asking for fewer comedians.

Comedian Romesh Ranganathan and actor Sebastian "Bash" Croft were crowned winners of the 2026 series as Faithfuls on Friday (October 30) night. The pair were the last two remaining at the firepit at the end of the BBC reality gameshow, with players having voted out Traitor and TV presenter Maya Jama during the final roundtable. Her fellow Traitor, social media star King Kenny, sealed her fate.

Winners React to Their Victory

Speaking as they revealed their identities, Sebastian told Romesh: "I began this game as a Faithful, but I'm ending this game as a Faithful." Ranganathan said: "Bash, I began this game as a Faithful, and I'm ending this game as a Faithful." The pair then cheered and embraced, shouting "oh my God".

In an emotional cutaway scene, Sebastian said: "That was just incredible, this might actually be the best day of my life." Romesh added: "I just really hope my mum's proud, and also my youngest son Charlie, who wanted me to come on the show. Dad won, please show me some respect."

Fans Call for Cast Changes

Romesh was one of six comedians in the line-up of 21 celebrities, alongside Miranda Hart, James Acaster, Joe Lycett, Joanne McNally and Rob Beckett. The BBC is yet to confirm whether The Celebrity Traitors will return for another series, but fans have already begun making demands for a potential series three line-up.

Some fans think there were too many comedians on the line-up in series two. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan wrote: "No more comedians next year. They can't be trusted #CelebrityTraitors." Another added: "This series has been ruined by the comedians."

Mixed Reactions to the Cast

A third person said: "Next year we need more variety in contestants, not just actors and comedians." A fourth agreed: "The next series needs FAR less comedians."

However, others were impressed with the casting for series two. One viewer wrote: "@BBC I believe the #CelebrityTraitors cast was just as great as S1. Its just that the Faithfuls got rid of the greatest cast members early." A second person agreed: "I have loved the cast of #CelebrityTraitors this year."

The Celebrity Traitors is available to watch on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
