Tipping Point host Ben Shephard was left in disbelief after contestant Emily answered her first question incorrectly on the ITV daytime game show. The hopeful player joined fellow contestants Sharon, Sam and Peter in their bid to win cash and prizes, but her early mistake nearly derailed her chances.
Emily was asked: 'In the 2018 musical film, a character played by Emily Blunt who performs the songs ‘Can you imagine that?’ and ‘Turning turtle’ is which magical nanny?' She confidently answered 'Nanny McPhee', only to discover the correct answer was Mary Poppins. A disappointed Ben winced and said: 'Oh no, Emily! Mary Poppins, what are you thinking?!'
Despite the blunder, Emily recovered and made it to the final round after Sharon and Peter were eliminated. However, she was ultimately knocked out after Sam banked £2,000 to her £1,700. Sam then attempted to win the £10,000 jackpot but failed, leaving with £4,150.
In other Tipping Point news, former contestant Erika, from Swansea, who was fat-shamed after appearing on the show, has since lost almost half her body weight. She credited the cruel comments as motivation and shared her transformation on Instagram.
