The Traitors winner Stephen Libby is reportedly in talks to appear on Strictly Come Dancing. The 32-year-old former cyber security consultant made history with Rachel Duffy on the 4th series of the UK Traitors earlier this year. The pair became the first ever duo to win the show and split the prize money, taking home £47,875 each.
Now, it seems Stephen could be lacing up his dancing shoes and stepping into the BBC ballroom. It's claimed that the Strictly casting team thinks the Scot could be an 'ideal' candidate. Speaking to The Sun, an insider said: 'The Strictly casting team have met with Stephen and think he could be a great fit.'
Popularity and Fan Base
'Stephen was hugely popular on The Traitors and since leaving Ardross Castle he has built up a very big fan base. The BBC are always keen to utilise their talent and Stephen is ideal,' the source added. The insider noted that no final decision has been made yet, but if Stephen doesn't make the cut this year, he'll be a key target for the 2027 series, especially if his profile continues to grow.
This Year's Line-Up
This year's Strictly line-up hasn't been fully revealed yet, but those who are competing include EastEnders star Lacey Turner, Love Island stars Dani Dyer and Cach Mercer, Eurovision singer Delta Goodreem, and celebrity hair stylist Chris Appleton.
New Role on This Morning
Following his big win in the castle, Stephen has landed himself a job on ITV's This Morning. Discussing the gig, he told The Sun: 'I've just been having the best time working with the team at This Morning lately, from hosting fashion that I adore to now covering the buzz of the Oscars is just mind-blowing! I can't wait to show viewers what I've been getting up to here in LA.' A source close to the show said: 'Stephen has proven very popular with our viewers and has a natural warmth and charm.'
