The seventh episode of The Testaments will see Agnes confronted with an unwanted marriage match, as the series takes a darker turn. The Disney+ sequel to The Handmaid's Tale has already released six episodes, following June Osborne's daughter Agnes as she attends Aunt Lydia's prep school for wives.
After getting her first period, Agnes is deemed ready for marriage. However, she has fallen in love with her guardian Garth and hopes to wed him. The synopsis for Episode 7 teases: 'As Daisy's secret past threatens to surface, Agnes grapples with an unwanted match and a forbidden crush. Becka meets with potential matches and finds unexpected kindness in one of them.'
Actress Mabel Li, who plays Aunt Vidala, hinted that Agnes will be dissatisfied with her match. She told Variety: 'Agnes might not be the most satisfied with her match.' Li also noted mixed reactions among the friend group, with some getting who they want and others being 'quietly disappointed'.
Meanwhile, Becka is struggling with the transition to wifehood. In Episode 5, viewers learned she has a crush on Agnes, which could lead to punishment if discovered by the Aunts. Episode 7 airs on Wednesday, 6th May on Hulu in the US and Disney+ internationally.
