The acclaimed US medical drama The Pitt is set to make its UK debut this week, coinciding with the launch of HBO Max on 26 March. The series stars Noah Wyle as Dr Michael 'Robby' Robinavitch, a senior attending physician at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Centre.
Both the first and second series will be available on the streaming platform. The first series, comprising 15 episodes, will be released in full on launch day. The second series, also 15 episodes, will be released weekly, with the first 11 episodes already aired in the US.
The show has received critical acclaim and multiple awards, including five at the 77th Primetime Emmys. It has been praised by the medical community for its accuracy.
HBO Max subscriptions start at £4.99 per month for the ad-supported tier, with ad-free and premium tiers available at £9.99 and £14.99 respectively. Sky is also offering free HBO Max subscriptions with its £22 Ultimate TV bundle.
