ITV has released a trailer for its upcoming thriller drama The Blame, starring Michelle Keegan and Douglas Booth. The series, created by Megan Gallagher, is set to premiere this autumn on ITV.
The show follows detectives Emma Crane (Keegan) and Tom Radley (Booth) as they investigate a devastating murder in the town of Wakestead. Although they quickly identify a prime suspect, new evidence turns the case in an unexpected direction, exposing a web of deception, institutional failings, and compromised morals.
The ensemble cast includes Ian Hart as DCI Kenneth Walker, Nathan Mensah as DC Lewis, and Nigel Boyle, known for his roles in Line of Duty and Peaky Blinders, as digital forensics specialist Brett Shergill. Joe Armstrong plays skating coach Kyle Frasier, and Matilda Freeman portrays Sophie Madsen.
Michelle Keegan, who previously starred in Netflix's Fool Me Once, brings her experience to the role of detective Emma Crane. Fool Me Once amassed over 108 million views in its first six months, becoming one of Netflix's most-watched English-language series.
The Blame is produced by Quay Street Productions, part of ITV Studios. The series promises a compelling crime mystery intertwined with thought-provoking social themes and a deeply personal story, offering a fresh look at trust, justice, and modern policing.
