The Devil's Hour, creator Tom Moran's debut project, has arrived on Amazon Prime Video. The psychological thriller follows Lucy Chambers, a single mother who wakes at exactly 3:33am each night. Her eight-year-old son Isaac is withdrawn and emotionless, while her mother Sylvia speaks to empty chairs.
Lucy, a social worker burdened by her clients' trauma, is played by Jessica Raine, 40, known for her role as Jenny Lee in Call The Midwife. Gideon, a nomadic criminal who believes he can predict the future, is portrayed by Peter Capaldi, 64, famed for playing the 12th Doctor in Doctor Who. Capaldi described his character as "a very smart and elusive villain" who reveals he is not what he seems.
Detective Ravi, unnerved by blood but a good man at heart, is played by Nikesh Patel, 37, known for Indian Summers and Four Weddings and a Funeral. His right-hand man Nick, providing comic relief, is played by Alex Ferns, 54, known for Trevor Morgan in EastEnders. Isaac, Lucy's emotionless son, is played by Benjamin Chivers in his acting debut. Mike, Lucy's ex-partner and Isaac's father, is played by Phil Dunster, 30, known for Strike Back and Humans.
