ITV's gripping serial killer thriller The Dark has captivated audiences since its debut on Sunday, July 12, but fans will have to wait longer than expected for the next episode. Based on the best-selling novel From the Shadows by GR Halliday, the six-part series airs two episodes per week on Sundays and Mondays at 9pm.
Episode Release Schedule
The first two episodes aired on July 12 and July 13. However, episode three will not air on Tuesday, July 14, as some viewers anticipated. Instead, the schedule continues as follows:
- Episode One: Sunday, July 12
- Episode Two: Monday, July 13

- Episode Four: Monday, July 20

Plot and Cast
The story follows DI Monica Kennedy, played by Laura Donnelly, as she hunts a serial killer after a young man's body is found in the Scottish Highlands. The cast also includes Helen Baxendale as Bethany Morgan. In the first episode, vulnerable teenager Rob Wright is drugged and an intruder climbs through his window, leaving viewers on a cliffhanger.
