The Curfew, a new six-part thriller on Channel 5, is set to premiere on Monday, February 16 at 9pm. The series, based on Jayne Cowie's 2022 novel After Dark, originally debuted on Paramount+ in 2024.
Set in a society where men are bound by a strict curfew from 7pm to 7am under The Women's Safety Act, the plot follows veteran police officer Pamela Green after a woman is brutally murdered during curfew hours. Green believes a man is responsible, despite the tracking ankle tags worn by all men.
The cast includes Sarah Parish as Pamela Green, Mandip Gill as Sarah, Alexandra Burke as Helen, Lucy Benjamin, Anita Dobson, Bobby Brazier, and Larry Lamb. Alexandra Burke makes her television acting debut in the series.
Filming took place across London, surrounding areas, and Berkshire. The first episode airs on February 16, with episodes three and four on February 17 and 18 at 10pm. The full series will be available as a boxset on 5 streaming from February 16.
