Mark Labbett hints at potential exit from The Chase amid US move speculation

Mark Labbett, known as 'The Beast' on ITV's The Chase, has hinted that he may leave the show if his career in the United States takes off. The quiz star discussed his recent work on American television projects during an appearance on GB News, suggesting that a permanent move across the Atlantic could be on the cards.

Speaking to presenter Guto Harri, Labbett praised the popularity of The Chase internationally, noting that in Britain and Australia it is more of an 'every person show'. He then turned to his US ventures, highlighting the pleasant climate and the opportunity to work with some of the world's brightest minds, as well as the financial benefits of being paid in dollars.

When asked directly if he might relocate to the US, Labbett responded: 'I don't know - If they recommission me for a couple of series.' He added that LA house prices are actually better than those in London, making it a sensible choice. The star has been a fixture on The Chase since its launch in 2009, alongside host Bradley Walsh and fellow Chasers Darragh Ennis, Shaun Wallace, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha and Jenny Ryan.
