The Chase viewers annoyed by contestant's repeated boyfriend mentions

Fans of ITV's The Chase have expressed frustration over a contestant's habit of repeatedly mentioning her boyfriend during the show. Daisy, a 25-year-old player, appeared on the programme alongside host Bradley Walsh and faced Chaser Shaun 'The Dark Destroyer' Wallace.

During her introduction, Daisy spoke about her life in Manchester, mentioning her boyfriend Charlie multiple times. She said: 'I spend a lot of time with my dog, I have a sausage dog called Pizza, he's very cute. Me, Pizza and my boyfriend Charlie we go out a lot in Manchester, to a lot of dog-friendly places.' When asked about her prize money plans, she added: 'I would love to go skiing in Canada with my boyfriend, Charlie.'

Viewers took to X (formerly Twitter) to comment on the repeated references. One wrote: 'I'm guessing her boyfriend is called Charlie..?' Another said: '#TheChase I wonder if she has a boyfriend? She hasn't mentioned it.' A third teased: 'I can't decide...does she have a boyfriend called Charlie?'
