The Boys Finale Run Time: 65-Minute Epic Conclusion

The satirical superhero series The Boys, created by Eric Kripke, is approaching its grand finale on Prime Video. The fifth and final season has only one episode remaining, and fans are eager to see how the story concludes. The Emmy-nominated show has enjoyed widespread acclaim but faced criticism in its final run over episodes some viewers deemed as filler. Kripke has responded to detractors, defending the season's pacing.

Finale Runtime and Release Details

According to AMC Theatres, which will screen the finale in select US cinemas, the final episode will run for 1 hour and 5 minutes (65 minutes). Unfortunately, UK cinemas will not host screenings. The episode, titled Blood and Bone, will be available on Prime Video in the UK at 8am British Summer Time on Wednesday, May 20.

What to Expect in the Finale

The penultimate episode left many plot threads unresolved, setting the stage for Homelander (Antony Starr) final confrontation. The official synopsis teases: "In this epic conclusion, it's Homelander's world. But when Butcher reappears, ready and willing to use a virus that will wipe all Supes off the map, he sets in motion a chain of events that will forever change the world and everyone in it. It's the climax, people. Big stuff's gonna happen."

Fans hope the finale delivers a satisfying conclusion, with some speculating Kripke may deviate from the original comics. After The Boys ends, viewers can look forward to the prequel series Vought Rising, arriving on Prime Video in 2027. Meanwhile, the spin-off Get V was cancelled after two seasons.
