Eric Kripke, creator of Amazon Prime Video's 'The Boys', has provided an update on the upcoming fifth and final season. In a social media post, Kripke revealed that editing is complete and visual effects, music, and colour grading are roughly halfway finished. He assured fans the series will 'go out with a bang' and is coming 'reasonably soon'.
The last new episode aired on 18 July 2024. Kripke previously shared an emotional farewell to the set, expressing gratitude for the cast and crew. Antony Starr, who plays Homelander, also posted a tribute to his character, thanking Kripke for the opportunity.
No official release date has been announced, but production is progressing steadily. The series, based on the comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, has been a hit for Amazon since its debut in 2019.
