Starring Ruth Wilson, Dominic West, Maura Tierney, and Joshua Jackson, 'The Affair' originally aired on Showtime in the United States from 2014 to 2019. ITV released seasons one to three on ITVX in March 2026, with season four now following on July 5.
The series explores the emotional and psychological fallout of an extramarital affair that destroys two marriages, and the crime that later brings the characters back together. Season four finds Noah (Dominic West), Helen (Maura Tierney), Alison (Ruth Wilson), and Cole (Joshua Jackson) in separate lives, each involved in new relationships, forcing them to decide whether to leave the past behind.
