ITV viewers were quick to recognise twins Lyndsey and Louise from Channel 4's Taskmaster when they appeared on the new competition series The Neighbourhood, hosted by Graham Norton. The show features six real families moving into a tight-knit village to compete for a £250,000 prize.
Minutes into the first episode, the twins took part in a challenge suspended seven metres in the air on a moving washing line. Viewers took to X, formerly Twitter, to note their appearance, with one commenting: 'Swear those twins on #TheNeighbourhood were on Taskmaster once.' Another added: 'The Thompson Twins from @taskmaster are on that new #theneighbourhood programme.'
The 25-year-olds from Liverpool, who have over 90,000 followers on TikTok and 20,000 on Instagram, appeared on Taskmaster Series 20, Episode 3 last year. They are competing alongside Lyndsey's girlfriend Rosie, 28, against five other families: The Bradons, The Kandolas & Samra, The Lozman Sturrocks, The Pescuds, and The Uni Boys.
Speaking before the series premiered, host Graham Norton said: 'One of the loveliest things about the show is seeing households who would never meet in real life, not only meeting but forming proper bonds of friendship.' The first elimination will be revealed in Saturday's episode.
