'I'm not in the running,' Egerton stated bluntly. 'It's flattering to be considered, but it's simply not happening.'
The actor, best known for his roles in Kingsman and Black Bird, acknowledged the long-standing speculation but insisted there was no truth to it. 'People love to speculate, and Bond is one of those roles that everyone has an opinion on,' he added.
