Amazon Asks 'Summer I Turned Pretty' Fans to Stay Away from Set

Amazon has urged fans of 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' to stop visiting the set and sharing filming locations, citing safety concerns and disruptions to production. The plea comes after unofficial photos of stars Lola Tung and Christopher Briney surfaced online, sparking speculation about the upcoming film.

In a post on X, Amazon Prime Video's official account for the series said: 'We love the excitement, but sharing locations and visiting set disrupts filming and creates real safety concerns for our cast and crew. We're working hard to create a protected bubble to make the best movie possible.'

Creator Jenny Han also addressed fans on Instagram, explaining that onlookers make it harder for actors to get into character and cause unnecessary anxiety. 'We often have to stop production to clear crowds from the shot, which breaks the crew's focus,' she wrote.

The film, which will serve as the series finale, began production last month in North Carolina. Amazon announced the movie in September 2024, but no release date has been confirmed.
