Sue Radford admits 'costly' mistake after minibus crash

Sue Radford, 51, from the Channel 5 series 22 Kids and Counting, has admitted to a "costly" mistake after an accident involving the family minibus over the weekend. The mum-of-22 shared the news with her 539,000 Instagram followers, many of whom rushed to offer their support.

What happened

In a post on the family's Instagram page, Sue told followers: "Well, I've had a little accident," as she posed next to the minibus. She explained: "When we arrived on Friday night, I pulled up behind Noel in the minibus, completely forgot to put the handbrake on and rolled literally about 2 feet straight into the back of the motorhome! And yep... I've managed to break the back bumper!"

Sue also admitted she crashed with her youngest child Heidie while on a grass sledge. She concluded the post: "Honestly, you couldn't make it up! All that space and I still managed to hit the motorhome!"

Fans react

Since she shared the post, several fans offered their support. One said: "Aww no! Easily done though, it'll get fixed." Another added: "Oh dear, never mind, all makes memories." A third commented: "Oh no Sue, it's a costly mistake, but at least no one was hurt."

Fortunately, no one was injured, as Sue ended the post with a laughing emoji and posed next to the vehicle, pointing at the damage. The family uses and hires different vehicles based on their travel needs, often relying on a large minibus to transport the entire family.

Family background

The accident comes as Sue's latest grandchild Cooper was born last month, when daughter Millie Radford gave birth to her fourth child. Episodes of 22 Kids and Counting documented a turbulent chapter and brief separation between Millie and her partner Harley, though the couple has since reunited and welcomed their baby boy.

Parents Sue and Noel recently addressed claims of baby number 23, telling the Mirror "definitely not now". The couple, who are behind the biggest family in the UK, said they are perfectly happy with their 22 children and are now focusing on embracing life as grandparents.
