Thomas Skinner, the former Apprentice star and current Strictly Come Dancing contestant, has revealed that his two-year-old twin daughters are being tested for a life-changing condition after both suffered fits. The 34-year-old shared on October 9 that Roma and Dalia had spent a night in hospital.
In a post on X, Skinner wrote: 'We are having a proper s*** time recently. My twins have spent all night in the hospital. Thank you to the wonderful NHS for looking after them. Back home with them now. They’ve both now had 2 fits each, and it is so so scary.'
Speaking to The Sun, the Essex-based businessman explained that the girls had febrile convulsions triggered by a high temperature from a cold. He noted that these symptoms 'can be linked to epilepsy', and the twins have undergone tests, with results still pending. 'They’re back home now, happy and playing,' he added. 'They’re getting lots of cuddles. It was incredibly scary.'
Skinner, who is partnered with professional dancer Amy Dowden on Strictly, recently introduced Dowden to his family during training. Dowden, who returned to the show after being given the all-clear from stage three breast cancer, said of Skinner: 'I’ve got to know the real Tom, and he is adorable. He’s looked after me. We’ve laughed so much.'
