Strictly's Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink Stunned as Partner Quits

Former Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has become the fourth celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing. The 53-year-old and professional partner Lauren Oakley exited the competition on Sunday, October 27, after losing the dance-off to Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin.

Both couples reprised their routines from Saturday's Icons Week show. Hasselbaink performed the American Smooth to Prince's Purple Rain, while Davies danced the Cha Cha to Ariana Grande's Break Free. Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas saved Davies and Kuzmin, with Anton Du Beke confirming he would have voted the same way.

Hasselbaink said: 'I have absolutely loved my experience. I never expected that I would enjoy it this much. This experience is going to live with me forever.' Despite scoring a competition-best 30 points on Saturday, he added: 'The only thing you can do is dance as best as you can and then it's up to the public.'

Oakley praised her partner as an 'amazing student', saying: 'We have had the best time and I am so proud of how far he has come. It proves that anyone can be a dancer if you put your mind to it.'

The results show also featured a performance of Don't Cry For Me Argentina by Rachel Zegler and a Britney Spears group dance by the professional dancers.
