Strictly Come Dancing contestant Balvinder Sopal has revealed she is struggling to cope after being placed in the dance off four times in eight weeks. The EastEnders actress, known for playing Suki Panesar, shared her feelings on Instagram, saying: 'Behind the glitz and the glamour, the spectacle and the drama are real people’s lives. We still have to manage what goes on outside of the rehearsal room and dance floor, and it’s not always easy to keep it together.'
Despite the pressure, Sopal and her professional partner Julian are determined to keep fighting. After the latest dance off, Julian told her: 'We keep fighting, surviving and thriving.' The pair, known as Team Balian, are now looking forward to performing an Argentine Tango in Blackpool, which Sopal described as one of her 'favourite dances'.
In a message to fans, Sopal expressed gratitude for still being in the competition: 'I didn't think we'd make it this far but I am so grateful to still be here and so excited.' She also praised Julian, saying: 'Jules, you are the epitome of strength, just when I think we can’t, you push and unlock another level for us as a team and individually.'
Supporters have rallied around the actress, with one fan telling her: 'I’m so proud of the strength and resilience you’re showing through all this. You’re the most beautiful dancer and if it's what we think it is, Blackpool is going to be your most spectacular dance yet.'
