The BBC has announced that Emma Willis, Johannes Radebe, and Josh Widdicombe will take over as hosts of Strictly Come Dancing, replacing Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly. The trio will share presenting duties, with Widdicombe taking over Winkleman's role in the 'Clauditorium' and Radebe serving as a roving reporter.
Willis is known for presenting Love is Blind UK and Swiped: The School That Banned Smartphones. Radebe has been a professional dancer on the show since 2021, when he was partnered with John Whaite in the programme's first male same-sex couple. Widdicombe is a comedian who hosts several television and radio shows.
BBC chief content officer Kate Phillips praised the trio's chemistry, saying, 'There’s been so much speculation and hype, so I’m relieved we can share the news with the public at last. In a Strictly first we have chosen three outstanding hosts to take up the mantle.'
The announcement follows the departure of Winkleman and Daly in 2025. The show has faced challenges in recent years, including allegations of misconduct against professional dancers in 2024 and a subsequent investigation into drug use.
