Jaime Winstone will not dance on Strictly Come Dancing this weekend after suffering a torn abdominal muscle, with the show confirming she and partner Carlos Gu will receive a bye through to next week.
The seventh live show airs tonight (Saturday, November 7) at 6.30pm on BBC One, lasting 1 hour and 45 minutes until 8.15pm. Voting will then open ahead of the next elimination.
Winstone ruled out with injury
A BBC statement read: "Due to injury, Jaime Winstone has been advised by doctors to rest and, as a result, she will not dance this weekend. In line with the rules of the show, Jaime and her partner, Carlos Gu, will receive a bye through to next week, when it is hoped they will be able to dance again. We wish Jaime the very best as she continues her recovery."
Winstone added: "I am absolutely devastated not to be dancing this weekend due to a torn abdominal muscle. I am in considerable pain, and my doctors have advised complete rest to give my body the best possible chance to heal. As frustrating as it is, I have to put my health first and follow their advice to step away from dancing this week."
She continued: "I love every moment of dancing and performing with Carlos, and I am praying for a speedy recovery so that I can continue this magical journey. I want to thank everyone for their incredible support so far. It means more than you know. Wishing everyone on the show all the luck, love and strength for Saturday night, and I hope to be back on that dance floor very soon. With love, Jaime."

Results show and Remembrance tribute
The results show will air at 7.10pm on Sunday, November 8, and will last 50 minutes. In honour of Remembrance Sunday, the professionals will perform a group routine inspired by the role of millions of women in World War II, with music from Gregory Porter.
Last week, Lawrence Robb and Jowita Przystał became the fifth couple to leave after losing the three-way dance-off to Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu, and Bethany Antonia and Nancy Xu. The judges - Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, Motsi Mabuse, and Craig Revel Horwood - voted to eliminate rather than save in the first-ever three-way dance-off. Their exit followed the departures of Chris Appleton, Melanie Walters, Sarah Storey, and Shaun Wright-Phillips. Halloween Week saw Lacey Turner and Vito Coppola reach the top of the leaderboard.
