Vicky Pattison and Kai Widdrington achieved their highest score yet on Saturday night's episode of Strictly Come Dancing, topping the leaderboard for the first time this series. The Geordie Shore star performed a tango to 'Fate of Ophelia', earning an impressive 39 points, including 10s from judges Motsi Mabuse and Anton du Beke.
The episode saw nine couples compete as the competition intensifies. Last week's Halloween special saw Emmerdale actor Lewis Cope and Katya Jones land the first perfect score of the series with their Couple's Choice to a big band-style version of Radiohead's 'Creep'. This week, they opened the show with a cha cha to 'I Like It Like That', scoring 35 points.
Balvinder Sopal, who survived her third dance-off last weekend, bounced back with her Couple's Choice to 'Sapphire' by Ed Sheeran and Arijit Singh. The EastEnders star was saved by the judges in Sunday's episode, sending Ellie Goldstein out of the competition.
A tearful Alex Kingston revealed she is 'numerically dyslexic', making the paso doble difficult. The Doctor Who actor, 62, told host Claudia Winkleman she struggles to dance to music without lyrics.
The results show airs Sunday at 7.10pm, where one more couple will be eliminated. Motsi Mabuse will have the final say if the judges are split after the dance-off.
