Strictly Leaderboard: Vicky Pattison Tops Week 9

The competition is heating up on Strictly Come Dancing as the popular BBC One show moves past its halfway point. The remaining couples gave it their all last weekend, with the leaderboard seeing some impressive scores and one celebrity's journey coming to an end.

Who Topped The Strictly Leaderboard?

Vicky Pattison and her professional partner Kai Widdrington soared to the top of the scoreboard with an impressive 39 points. The Geordie Shore legend and I'm A Celebrity winner performed a powerful Tango to Taylor Swift's 'The Fate of Ophelia', captivating judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Anton Du Beke, and Motsi Mabuse.

Close behind was West End star Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin, who earned a superb 38 points for their energetic Salsa to the disco classic 'You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)'.

Mid-Table Standings And Close Scores

In a tie for third place, Emmerdale's Lewis Cope with Katya Jones and Lioness Karen Carney with Carlos Gu both secured 35 points. Lewis and Katya performed a lively Cha-cha-cha to 'I Like It Like That', while Karen and Carlos delivered a vibrant Charleston set to a mashup of Diana Ross's 'Upside Down' and Aretha Franklin's 'Think'.

Further down the table, YouTube sensation George Clarke and Alexis Warr scored 34 points for their Viennese waltz to Queen's 'Somebody to Love'. They were joined by EastEnders' Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon, who also clinched 34 points for their Couple's Choice routine to Ed Sheeran's 'Sapphire'.

The Dance-Off And A Gladiator's Exit

At the lower end of the leaderboard, actress Alex Kingston and Johannes Radebe scored 30 points for their Paso doble to 'Amparito Roca'. They shared this score with Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and Karen, who performed a Samba to the Gloria Estefan hit of the same name.

Finishing in last place were La Voix and Ajaz with 29 points for their Foxtrot to Mamma Cass's 'Make Your Own Kind of Music'. However, they survived the dreaded dance-off, which saw Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey eliminated from the competition.

In his emotional exit speech, Harry thanked his professional partner Karen, saying, "You have given me an opportunity to shine. You've understood my crazy brain." He added that the experience had been a "dream come true" and a "celebration", wanting to show his daughter that there is always a silver lining.

Strictly Come Dancing continues with its thrilling performances this Saturday and Sunday on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
