Strictly Fans 'Floored' as EastEnders Stars Spotted in Audience
Strictly Fans Spot EastEnders Stars in Audience

Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left distracted during Saturday's live show as two EastEnders stars were spotted in the audience. James Bye, who played Martin Fowler, and Robert Kazinsky, who plays Sean Slater, were seen supporting their co-star Lacey Turner, who has portrayed Stacey Slater on the BBC soap since 2004.

The duo's presence was quickly noticed by fans, with one person posting on X: "Rob Kazinsky and James Bye in the audience for Lacey (love heart) #Strictly #EastEnders." Another added: "Sean Slater woof," while a third commented: "Both James and Robert being in the audience to support Lacey #EastEnders #Strictly."

Soap Legends in the Ballroom

James Bye joined EastEnders in 2014 as Martin Fowler, taking over the role from James Alexandrou, and married Stacey Slater on the programme. His character was dramatically killed off during the soap's 40th-anniversary live episode, which aired on 20 February 2025.

Robert Kazinsky made his debut as Sean Slater, Stacey's elder brother, in 2006. The character departed in 2009 and appeared briefly several times before returning to Walford permanently last month.

Midway Stage of the Contest

Strictly Come Dancing 2026 has reached its midway stage, with 10 couples remaining in the running for the Glitterball trophy. Last week, Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb and Jowita Przystał were eliminated following the show's first-ever bottom three dance-off.

Lacey Turner and Vito Coppola dominated the leaderboard during the Halloween special after scoring 36 points for their Charleston to Cheryl and Tinie Tempah's 'Crazy Stupid Love'. This week, they performed a Rumba to Coldplay's song Yellow.

Actress Jaime Winstone, who has appeared in several dance-offs, will automatically progress to the next round due to a rehearsal injury. The results show airs Sunday at 7:10pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
