Strictly fans predict Bethany and Nancy face exit

Strictly Come Dancing fans have taken to social media to predict that House of the Dragon actor Bethany Antonia and her professional partner Nancy Xu will be the couple going home this week. The 2026 series has reached its halfway point, with the final set to take place just before Christmas.

Three-way dance-off and injury news

Last week saw the first ever three-way dance-off, which resulted in actor Lawrence Robb and his partner Jowita Pryzstal being eliminated. Actor Jaime Winstone and her partner Carlos Gu are missing from this week's competition after she tore an abdominal muscle. The BBC announced the news on Wednesday, explaining that doctors have advised the actor to rest this week.

A spokesperson said: “In line with the rules of the show, Jaime and Carlos will receive a bye through to next week when it is hoped they will be able to dance again. We wish Jaime the very best as she continues her recovery."

Fans react to Bethany and Nancy's performance

After surviving the three-way dance-off, Bethany Antonia and Nancy Xu performed to Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis. They received a healthy 30 points from the judges, including a nine from Motsi. Despite this, some fans have declared them the couple going home this week.

Strictly fan @slinehan1 wrote on X, formerly Twitter: "Yeah, Bethany and Nancy are going home tonight." @corderoy17 agreed: "I do think Bethany and Nancy will definitely be in the dance off," and @lexisloveeclub said: "I fear it’s over for Bethany."

Hoping for backing for the pair, @sasha_ddm wrote: "We all BETTER get on our phones and vote for Bethany and Nancy this week. I have a horrible feeling they'll be in the bottom two, and I really don't want them to be."

Support from viewers and other complaints

The pair have also received support from viewers at home, including @notjanpeteh saying: "That was so beautiful from Bethany and Nancy! i hope they can avoid the dance-off tonight." And @paradiseieah said: "Bethany and Nancy actually got me a bit emotional."

Elsewhere in the show, fans complained about Lacey Turner and Vito Coppola landing the "death slot" with an unpopular rumba dance. The results show will air at 7.10pm on Sunday, November 8, on BBC One and iPlayer.
