Strictly Come Dancing viewers have voiced their anger over the judges' scoring during week seven of the competition, after EastEnders actress Lacey Turner and her professional partner Vito Coppola performed the Rumba to Coldplay's Yellow.
The pair received a total of 30 points, with the judges' marks ranging widely from a six to a nine. Craig Revel Horwood awarded the lowest score of six, while Motsi Mabuse gave a seven, Shirley Ballas an eight, and Anton Du Beke the highest mark of nine.
Viewers React to Split Scores
The disparity in the judges' scores sparked a wave of complaints on social media, with many fans expressing disbelief that a single dance could receive such contrasting marks.
One viewer fumed: "6 7 8 9…. These judges are not serious." Another remarked: "A 6 and a 9 for the same dance judges on top form again #strictly."
A third agreed: "The 6 7 8 9 for Lacey's dance is crazy omggg ain't no one agreeing." While one fan noted: "A dance scoring a 6 and a 9 will always look so off."
Questioning the Marks
Another viewer questioned: "I'm sorry, but how is it possible for a dance to score both a 6 and a 9?"
The episode marked the return of the celebrities to the dancefloor following a bombshell exit in the previous week, as the remaining contestants continue their bid to lift the Glitterball Trophy.
