Strictly Come Dancing fans rushed to defend Delta Goodrem after they thought her latest routine was 'undermarked', pointing out that the singer is still recovering from a rib injury.
The Australian singer and her professional dance partner Kai Widdrington returned to the dance floor on Saturday night (November 7) for week seven of the BBC One contest, with just nine of the expected ten couples competing.
Jaime Winstone was absent after suffering a torn abdominal muscle, which ruled her out of the live show. The actress and her partner, last year's champion Carlos Gu, received a bye to next week's show, when it is hoped she will return.
Delta's Cha Cha Scores 31
Delta and Kai performed the cha cha to Let's Get Loud by Jennifer Lopez, scoring 31 out of a possible 40. Judge Motsi Mabuse praised the performance, saying Delta's "heart is on the dancefloor" and adding: "I love the spice you bring to this competition."
Despite finishing third on the leaderboard, behind Love Island winner Dani Dyer and dancer Nikita Kuzmin, and Olympian Tabby Stoecker with her partner Mark Karmalita, fans were not impressed with the judges' response.
Fans Point Out Ongoing Injury
Viewers took to social media to note that Delta is still injured, having missed a live show a few weeks ago due to a rib fracture.
