Melanie Blatt Joins Strictly Christmas 2025 Line-Up

Melanie Blatt, best known as a member of 1990s girl group All Saints, has been confirmed as the second celebrity contestant for the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special 2025. The singer and cook will be partnered with professional dancer Kai Widdrington for the festive episode, which airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer this Christmas.

Blatt rose to fame with All Saints, achieving five UK number one singles, two BRIT Awards, and global album sales exceeding 10 million. In recent years, she has launched a gourmet burger business and appeared on shows including Celebrity MasterChef, Celebrity Race Across The World, and Taskmaster's New Year Treat.

Speaking about her participation, Blatt said: "If you can't have a dance at Christmas, when can you?! I'm so excited to meet Kai and start training to make this a dance to remember."

The Christmas special will feature six couples competing for the title of Strictly Christmas Champion. Hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will present for the final time, with judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke providing feedback. The studio audience will vote for the winner.

Blatt joins previously announced contestant Scarlett Moffatt. The remaining four celebrities will be revealed on Strictly: It Takes Two across the week. The special is produced by BBC Studios Entertainment for the BBC.
