Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One and iPlayer in autumn 2026, with 15 celebrity contestants set to make their ballroom debut. The exact air dates have yet to be confirmed, but the full line-up has been announced and rehearsals have already begun.
New Presenters Take Over the Ballroom
This year's series will look different as Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman said an emotional goodbye to their presenting roles at the end of last year's series. Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe will fill their shoes, making their presenting debut this September as they welcome the 15 hopeful celebrities onto the dance floor.
Anton DuBeke, Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse will all return to the judging panel.
Strictly Come Dancing 2026 Start Date
An official air date is yet to be announced. The BBC said: "Strictly Come Dancing returns to iPlayer and BBC One in autumn 2026 with exact air dates to be confirmed in due course." Based on recent years, the show typically returns towards the end of September with a launch episode that sees the celebrities partnered up with a professional dancer.
