Fans of a saucy drama can now binge-watch an entire series in just one afternoon, thanks to Netflix's latest micro-series. The Mexican thriller Between Father and Son has arrived on the streaming platform, consisting of 20 mini episodes that are perfect for a quick binge session.
Plot Overview
The series follows Barbara, played by Pamela Almanza, a well-respected lawyer whose life changes dramatically after just a few suspenseful minutes. She visits the house of her fiancé Alvaro (Erick Elias) before their wedding, but unexpectedly finds herself attracted to her future step-son Iker (Graco Sendel). On top of this forbidden sexual tension, there is also a mystery surrounding the disappearance of Alvaro's first wife and Iker's mother, Fernanda.
Episode Length and Binge-Watching Potential
Between Father and Son is designed for viewers who want to quickly consume a series. Each of the 20 episodes has a running time of 10 minutes or less, with seven instalments lasting just seven minutes. Netflix subscribers can binge-watch the entire boxset in under four hours if watched back-to-back.
The series has already creeped its way into the UK's top 10, with fans describing themselves as hooked. However, some viewers have reported a technical issue starting from episode four, where the dialogue audio is missing. One fan on X questioned, Why's there no sound?, while another on Reddit stated, It doesn't have any dialogue audio after episode three. I am already hooked though and patiently waiting for the issue to be fixed!
Others have shared that their audio is working fine, including the English dubbed version of the series. Despite the glitch, the show continues to gain popularity among subscribers.
Between Father and Son is available to stream now on Netflix.
