South Park Season 27 Faces Further Delays as Creators Take Extra Time

Fans of South Park will have to wait a little longer for the next episode of season 27. The animated series, known for its satirical take on current events, has experienced multiple delays in its latest run, with a three-week gap now separating episodes 5 and 6.

Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have stated they are taking extra time to consider how best to satirise an increasingly strange and unpredictable world. In a statement released in mid-September, they outlined their intended schedule for the remainder of the season, though further changes remain possible as they scramble to keep up with the modern news cycle.

South Park season 27 episode 6 is currently scheduled to air at 10pm on Thursday 16th October 2025 on Comedy Central UK, one day after its US premiere. Episodes will also be available to stream on Paramount+ shortly after broadcast. This marks the longest run since season 23, which aired in 2019.

Following the delay to episode 5, the show is expected to return to a fortnightly schedule after episode 6. The full back catalogue of South Park remains available to stream on Paramount+ in the UK, after a brief licensing issue in July that temporarily removed episodes outside the US.
