Next week's soap operas promise major drama, including a death, a flashforward twist, a return, and an arrest. In Emmerdale, Bear Wolf confesses to the murder of Ray Walters but struggles to recall details. He insists it was an accident and that he acted alone, while Paddy waits anxiously at the station. Marlon rushes to support his friend, but Bear's comments about Moira could land her in trouble. Paddy returns home inconsolable, fearing that he, Bear, and Dylan will end up in prison.
Bear is later quizzed over contradictory statements, and DS Walsh suggests Paddy was involved, unable to believe Bear moved Ray's body alone. DC Chen requests interviews with Paddy and Dylan, while Bear is determined to plead guilty. Elsewhere, Liam tells Cain about Bear's confession, giving Cain hope for Moira. At the prison, Cain is about to tell Moira about his diagnosis but is distracted; he does tell her about Bear's confession. When it fails to help her case, she is frustrated. Cain lashes out at Joe, who is on his sofa, and is clearly at breaking point. At Home Farm, Joe assures Kim the farm will soon be theirs. Cain is furious when he learns Ruby called the police about Anya's body and orders her and Caleb to leave.
On Coronation Street, the shocking flashforward airs, revealing a dead body found by Betsy in April. The episode then returns to the present day, showing five potential victims. Later, Carl moves ahead with his plan to set the hotel on fire, with newcomer Jez tasked with scanning the area. Ronnie warns Jez, while Jodie plots revenge. There is also a bombshell for one character.
In EastEnders, Chrissie Watts returns, reunited with Jake Moon, and Jasmine is also back. Anthony Trueman's funeral takes place, but Jasmine is a no-show. Kat tracks her down, unaware that Chrissie and Jake are waiting at The Vic. Jasmine later disappears and shocks Kat with her plan to frame Chrissie for murder, but the police arrive and arrest her. Zoe and Patrick are left reeling, while there is a plea for Oscar. Elsewhere, Max tries to make amends with Linda and tells Lauren about his feelings. George and Nicola reveal the gender of their baby, while Callum is horrified when Tim asks for an illegal favour. A friend of Ben's arrives with a troubling request amid divorce papers. Sam prepares to leave Walford but comforts Lily on the anniversary of Martin's death. Harry extends an olive branch to Gina, and they share a kiss.
On Hollyoaks, a special episode precedes an exit, featuring the return of iconic characters. Home and Away sees drama and a stunt. Emmerdale also features Mandy's return, Dawn telling Joe she might be pregnant, and Kammy and Ross matchmaking Lewis and Vinny. Arthur and Gabby row, leading to his resignation; Laurel feels guilty but uncovers stolen cash from Ray's bag and must make a decision after overhearing Rhona and Marlon discussing debt.
