Lucy Spraggan has disclosed that Simon Cowell told her he had 'never been more angry' after a phone call during her appearance on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins. The music mogul, who walked Spraggan down the aisle at her wedding last year, featured in the show when he called to motivate her, only for the directing staff to hang up on him.
Spraggan, 34, a former X Factor star, said Cowell considered taking part in the show himself but she warned him he would 'literally die'. She added that his wife, Lauren Silverman, could handle the challenge and 'should have a go'.
The singer, who is determined to complete the course, said Cowell was a 'constant support' and that she gets 'everything people get from their fathers' from him. Cowell previously described their friendship as feeling like they have 'been friends for life'.
Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins returns to Channel 4 at 9pm on Sunday. The line-up also includes Love Island's Tasha Ghouri, The Traitors' Harry Clark, S Club's Hannah Spearritt, and former glamour model Rebecca Loos.
