Silent Witness has returned for its 29th season, with the forensic team relocating from London to Birmingham to establish a new centre of forensics. The main cast remains largely unchanged, with Emilia Fox as Dr Nikki Alexander and David Caves as Jack Hodgson returning, alongside Maggie Steed as Harriet and Fran Mills as Kit.
The next two episodes, titled The Enemy Within, were postponed from their original air dates and will now air on Tuesday 17th February and Wednesday 18th February. The story follows the team as they investigate a deadly stabbing in Birmingham.
Guest stars for The Enemy Within have not been officially announced, but the season features a string of new guest actors. The cast list for these episodes is expected to be revealed closer to the broadcast date.
Returning characters include Nikki Alexander, now settled into married life with Jack after their low-key wedding in season 28. Jack continues to be a stubborn and sarcastic forensic scientist, but with more self-awareness and maturity, facing personal challenges in this series.
